Texas Prairie Flowers |
| Few real prairies remain in the USA. This one, in East Texas, is visited by wildlife specialists, and I had the pleasure of 'walking the prairie' with them this fine spring day in 2001. |

Central Texas Wildflowers |
| In March and April, driving the Texas highways can be a beautiful experience, with a big thanks to Lady Bird Johnson who has championed the survival of wildflowers in her home state. Here in central Texas we see a profusion of color, the heart of which is the state flower, bluebonnets. |

Bulls, Mesquite Rodeo, Dallas (TX) |
| This image was, perhaps, my signature print from the Rodeo body of work, and was used by the rodeo for two years as their newspaper ad. |

Skulls and Roses (west Texas) |
| Marathon, near Big Bend, has a very old hotel that could tell tales of the old West. Today it is spruced up with this stucco wall, cattle skulls, and yellow roses. I took this shot in 1998. Today there is large, heavy furniture in front of the wall, making this view impossible. |

Dallas Cowboys, Mesquite Rodeo (Dallas, Texas) |
| This photo appeals to women (is it the 'buns'?). However, I think it is more than that; the off-guard-read of the subjects as they prepare for battle as bronc riders is most interesting. |
